About the symposium

The Frontier Symposium is an annual meeting between China, Japan, and South Korea, created to foster regional and international academic exchange and collaboration.

The 2026 program brings together frontier research in computational science, including chemistry and biophysics, with experimental biology. It emphasizes the integration of AI and other new computational methods with experimental technologies to advance interdisciplinary research.

A platform for young scientists

A central aim of the meeting is to give young scientists an international platform to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and build connections with researchers across the region and beyond.

Frontier across the region

Previous Frontier Symposia were organized in South Korea in 2024 and China in 2025. The 2026 symposium continues that regional exchange in Kobe, Japan, while offering participants the opportunity to experience Japanese culture and nature.
